Konad Stamp Tutorial in Photos

Ok, here's my quick tutorial for using Konad stamps. It may not be too useful since it's only in photos, but I'll give it a go! All of these steps need to be done as quickly as possible in order to prevent the varnish from drying before you get it onto your nail.

Things you will need: Konad plate, stamper, scraper (or an old plastic loyalty card will do), paper to put plate on (it gets messy!), colour for art, top coat, nail varnish remover, cotton pads and cotton pads for mistakes afterwards.

I'm trying plate M82.

Choose design and paint a small glob of nail varnish over the design so that it is all covered.

Take the scraper/card, place it at a 45 degree angle.

Sweep the excess varnish quickly off the design in one swift motion.

Take the stamper and roll it firmly across the design.

The design should have transferred onto the stamper!

Using the same rolling action, roll the stamper firmly across your nail.

The design should now be on your nail!

Repeat the process until you have achieved the design you want!

You will need to clean the equipment after every two design applications as the plate will get clogged and not transfer properly. This includes cleaning the scraper and stamper to ensure a sharp image. All equipment can be cleaned with nail varnish remover and a cotton pad.

The design will last longer if you apply a top coat. Leave the design to dry a while before applying and try to sweep the top coat over each part of the design just once. This will minimise the chance of smudging it.

Happy stamping!
